And some of us who live there are headed to Alaska.  Woke in Watson Lake, Yukon to48 degree rain outside the tent.  Inside was fine ; )

Wish we could share some of this with BB.  We'd be glad for a little warmer.

Cool!  Google says it's only 3093 miles from Big Bend to Watson Lake.  Enjoy the cool weather while you can!

MapQuest says it's 3108.32 miles in 50 hours and three minutes. 

Starting point was area code 79834.  Ending point Watson Lake YT

OR - between 8 and 9 tanks of petrol!

Funny, the same day you posted this I was driving from Ouray to Silverton (Colorado) and it was 29 degrees and snowing heavily at the top of the pass.

Funny is also that i spoke to a friend of mine in Rosario,Argentina thru SKYPE and she says that just this past week they were  there at , -22ēC  we have not had that cold here forever. The most cold we have had , that i can remember was -15ēC once. WOW.

Trying not to stray off topic, but that drive from Ouray to Silverton has to be one of the most scenic drives in the Rockies.  Too bad I'm usually the guy behind the wheel and paying close attention to every curve.  I never get to just gawk at the scenery.
