I know that the Christmas mountains are now open for hiking and camping...I am just wondering what the rules and regulations are for camping....are there designated sites?.....How do reserve a place?.......Is it similar to ZONE CAMPING?......What Kind of permit is required?......

Sorry.    icon_wink

It's like that jingle - it sings - "No Rules".

It's a free for all land, if you are "man" enough to get to it.    icon_wink  The going is supposedly pretty rough.  I intend on finding out this fall/winter and planting the NPS BIBE flag on it.   rolling and taking a picture and sending it to Texas Monthly.

Email Texas GLO Commissioner Jerry Patterson of the Texas GLO:  JP@GLO.STATE.TX.US, jerry.patterson@glo.state.tx.us,  and also cc Jim Suydam @ jim.suydam@glo.state.tx.us and Mark Loeffler @ mark.loeffler@glo.state.tx.us and ask them...  Serious.  Jerry Patterson and Jim Suydam have posted on this board - and there is a huge extensive thread on this very topic.

Happy hunting...   icon_wink
