My brother crawled inside the one that was setup in the REI store and he liked it.  His comment was, "this is cool, you should buy two of them".  He's about 6' tall.  The specs on the tent show 81" long, so he might have a different opinion after spending a night inside.  .75' wiggle room isn't much!

Sale ends July 6th...footprint is on sale too.

The Quarter Dome T2 is cool too, but considerably more expensive.  I might have to get one though in a couple of years when my son starts joining me on backpacking trips!

In my opinion, the best thing about the T1 (as compared to other 1 person tents) is that you can sit up in it and have plenty of headroom.  ....a huge advantage over my Eureka Solitaire 1 man "tube" style tent.

This tent is an awesome tent! I wanted to buy one so bad, too, but the upcoming outings have already eaten into my dwindling budget so I held off. Let us know how it does for you once you test it out!

I used this tent over the weekend at Caprock Cayons SP, it worked just fine as expected.  It doesn't feel cramped at all inside and it's great to be able to sit up in a one man tent.  The real test will come when it get used in the rain...
