Badknees and Little Goodknees!

Seem to be getting a lot of this lately

Don't understand why the browser sees it as text.

Quote
What is  ? Is it needed?
Short Answer
is the entity used to represent a non-breaking space. It is essentially a standard space, the primary difference being that a browser should not break (or wrap) a line of text at the point that this   occupies.

There appears to be a bug in the board's software that is causing the " " occurrences. It's been happening for several weeks, but they do seem to be popping up more frequently of late. David is aware of the problem but has yet to track down the bug and fix it. In the meantime, try to avoid double spaces between sentences/words/etc. Someone on the board noted that "it appears the board software is scanning the quoted text and changing the ampersand of the imbedded " " to "&" then continues with the rest of the "nbsp;".  Kind of a recursive normalizing of the special "&" character that uses the ampersand character."

Personally, I think it's all part of a plot to destroy the internet.

Took me a while to find out who this dude is (CLICK HERE) as I had never heard of him before.  Must run in different conspiracy circles than I.   icon_wink

Don't know if this helps any, but I first noticed it after using Spell Check on one of my posts.

It's been happening quite a bit mroe frequently. As I said before, the best bet for now is to avoid two or more consecutive spaces.

i still don't know why it's doing all of the sudden.....nothing has changed....freakin' puters! It seems to be mistranslating during the post contest into HTML code, in fact, it should be translating to BB code..... eusa_think  Willy Nilly
