i'm quite sure i would never be found on a commercial airplane again...if this ever comes to pass.
the greater downside is that if this kind of imposition makes it into the air industry (i highly doubt it) it would open the door to other invasions...like having to submit when entering federal property (bibe.) how great would that be? that way next time someone is found to be "camping" in cattail, he could merely be immobilized until the proper authorities arrive to handle the situation.

This will put the airlines out of their misery for good. The tiny percentage of people who believe 'if you have nothing to hide you have nothing to fear' as they continually go along with incremental DHS encroachments on their freedom would not be enough to keep a single carrier afloat.
On the other hand, maybe this is the kind of sheer stupidity we need the mental midgets at DHS to foist in order to finally wake up the citizenry to take back their rights from an agency completely out of control.

It was designed to prevent citizens from becoming subjects. The right to bear arms provides protection against many things, including a tyrannical government.

The first ammendment says so, and the 2nd backs it up.
Your choice, citizen or subject.

I'm with you too, Badknees. A government that would put an electronic shackle on the governed deserves a cap in its ass.
I hear you on the 1st Amendment too, but the more pertinent document would be the one that says this:
