Ay!Chi did take his camera.  But, he forgot batteries.

Yeah...icon_redface  I might as well have tied a rock around my neck and lugged it around for 3 days. Sorry, Homero. I feel like I've let you down.

 icon_frown icon_frown....... icon_cry , I am sad guys. Right now, i would settle for a Police sketch.

Other than that, i say it was a spectacular trip report from you two fellas...cheers, and may you repeat this again and again...with AA's , please... icon_lol icon_lol

Excellent report and photos. I love the morning views from the S. Rim. Awesome!

This is an image I will take to my grave, as I am sure many Native Americans before have done.  If you've been there, you'll know what I mean.

That is indeed a great scene. I know what you mean  icon_biggrin

Awesome! We spotted basically the same snakes you guys saw... The black tail was spotted from the safety of the car, though... On Basin Road, to boot! I told Mandy that it was ok though since on average one ranger said that she'd seen about 1 rattler per week. I convinced Mandy that this was "fact", and it turned out to hold true. That was the only rattler we saw during the week!

Great adventure guys. Let me know next time you head out on a whim. If I'm not on a grand adventure of my own, I'm down for a mad dash, especially one the accountants will approve of.
