We were camped in the Basin yesterday at site #12 and the rain and small hail was flying sideways! No way to escape it! One hell of a thunderstorm no doubt. Heading up the Pinnacles trail to camp at NE4 today...hope it doesn't storm like that again today! Certainly don't mind rain while we're up there but a storm like that could blow your tent right off the rim! Ahhhh we love the Chisos in summertime! Photos to come when we get back down Mon. (sorry Homero)

Looks like the basin got another inch of rain yesterday, bringing the total rain for the past week to 4.08 inches and 4.34 inches for the month! River levels are up, too: And it looks like it is wet now: Basin PJ

Wow...SO tempting to load up the car and head out there... It would be so great to see...plus the blooms in the coming days should be incredible.
