Hi badknees!
Nice pictures.  I know they were intended for Homero...but they sure lifted my spirits this evening!

My favorite album was the one titled Island in the Desert 2007

Those grassland pictures, along with the lush vegetation. I can almost smell the place. I testify that there are not any borders in the desert. You should see and smell the places i have been in Coahuila...just spectacular!!!.

 Thank you Badknees.

Summer of '07 was a lush year with abundant rain.

Glad you enjoyed.

Bk, please tell us more  . . .

about this picture.  It's the best bear picture I've seen in this forum by far.

Al,

I've posted that picture before. It was taken in Nov '06.

Little Goodknees always wants to see bears or lions or something that her mom doesn't want to hear about, so we try to do "magic hour" walks as often as possible. We were walking early one evening and came across a sow and 2 cubs feeding on acorns. They were pretty much eye level up in trees downslope from where we were standing. Also fortunate was having my camera w/200mm lens.

I had to crank the  iso to 1000 to get these shots, hence they tend to have a bit of noise.

PM me and I'll describe exact location.

I do recall.  I just thought that shot warranted re-posting.  Very nice.
