Well, y'all beat me to it

The view from my shots above is not exactly from the campsite, but close by. To get to that particular viewpoint, just head west-ish from the campsite while keeping the "rim" to your immediate left. The ground will slope upwards (but not too steep), and it will be mostly clear with occasional small oaks. There are no trails, so you have to wonder through the grass and watch out for cactus and ankle-twisting rocks.
About 200 yards (give or take) from the campsite, you'll hit a thicket of oaks. Just wonder through them for a bit and work your way out to the ledge. When you get close, the vegetation will clear and you'll be standing at an impressive overlook (where my photos were taken). There's plenty of room to set up a tripod, although the ground is very uneven.
That's as far as I went. I don't know if other good viewpoints exist further up and west along the rim from there.
FYI, the view from the campsite is pretty nice too, but the trees are a little too high if you want a nice foreground in your photos. Here's a shot from close to the campsite:
