Oh, definitely you need one! Only 18 additional pounds. My favorite part is the expandable pocket on the tote to store the "used" kits. Go for it, Bill!

Do you mean to tell me that not everyone carries one of those around?

Hey, if you're gonna be packing all that extra water, why not take along a shower system to use in your privy while you're at it?

If your going to be putting an extra 18 lbs on your back, you might wanna save weight with your toilet paper. Here is an exerpt from
Allen and Mike's Really Cool Backpackin' Book
that I thought you could use for ideas...

Just carry lightweight toilet paper. Use the same techniques that ultralight hikers use with their toothbrush handles and just drill a bunch of holes in the roll, removing half the paper.

Thanks presidio! I laughed out loud about driiling holes in my TP.
Hey Richard...if I had a lot of water left over, I could take a quick shower about 2/3rds of the way back down so I'd be more presentable as I reach the Basin. Wouldn't want to scare small children or waste all that water I carried up!
Hmmm...thinking of showers, guess I better head for RGV when I get back down so I can spend money to buy a shower. Money well spent at that point!!

Many years ago bought a biodegradable TP, worked to well, degraded in use, not a good thing.

If you are going to use leaves, be SURE you can identify the plant. Poison ivy has been tried, and you can just imagine the results

I actually own one of these portable bathrooms. Of course, I won't be taking it to the Rim, but since the new back country camping rules require that "everything" be packed out, I thought it would be a nice car camping feature. Also doubles as a shower and works well at all out door events.
