Buy a quality dedicated filter instead.

These things are good examples of overspecialization and everyone trying to put something unique (read 'gimmick' again) in their product, rather than just building a water filter. I would not buy, or even consider a device that is so specialized as to use a threaded connector to the receptacle.

Get a real pump, and do the minimal effort required to force water through it into whatever container you might want to use.

Better yet just use some chlorine dioxide drops and forget the filter, one has to be patient and wait 15 minutes but then we are in the backcountry just enjoying our time.
