1. How far did you go past the dam in Cattail?

2. How bad were the gnats? (I love summer in the Bend, but the rain brings out some buzzers)

it started raining when we got to the dam, so we turned around there. i've been 1/2-3/4 of a mile further downstream on a previous trip

the gnats weren't bad, the mosquitos were somewhat bad. it was much more humid than nomal
