MAN! It's been raining all day. Over an inch at PJ and two inches in the Basin. GREEN doesn't describe it well enough. Bears in Oak Canyon below the Basin campground having a party. Window trail has been closed for over a month. Blue Creek flashed across Route 16 between Castolon and Santa Elena Canyon and they closed the road today. Creeks everywhere are starting to run again. Must have been like this 8,000 or so years ago at the end of the last ice age...

Good news all around out that way...except for the flooding, maybe. Still, water, it does a landscape good.

Wow. That would be cool to see. Those who visited Big Bend in the early days said the grass was so high a man could get lost in it.  Sounds like those days are returning.
