With Gustav threatening, I'm heading north from San Antonio and going to Lost Maples for Monday night. Not really worried about the weather...just getting away for one night. Gonna put in a few miles with the new pack in preparation for the S Rim trip which is only 4 weeks away now!!  eusa_dance

Good camping to anyone else braving the crowds!

That great American past time of paying good hard earned money to become frustrated, where the lowest score wins, and the most perfect shot is generally unintentional.  Surf's up on the beach and drowning in the water...

Posting from the Wi-Fi point at the Basin Lodge. icon_cool

Not many campers this weekend, although we did run into a couple from Houston that said they left on Thursday (day before trafffic got bad) and it wasn't that bad.  It has been raining everyday since last wednesday and the wind has really kicked up as of last evening.  Beautiful blue skies and sunrise this a.m. but it looks like more rain on the way coming up out of Mexico... eusa_doh
