We hiked to the Pine Canyon waterfall yesterday. Gorgeous, beautiful, lots of mosquitos. Only saw one other couple. Told us about a rattlesnake on the trail, which we saw too going in. On the way out the rattlesnake was still there.icon_eek The road out to Pine Canyon is rough. The ranger said 4-wheel drive only. We were in the jeep so we bounced on out there.

The water was running down through the canyon. We heard another waterfall southeast of Pine Canyon and tried to locate it but there was too much snaky-looking brush in the way so we curtailed the adventure. Started raining when we got to the blacktop.

Are you sure your GPS wasn't off a bit and you were actually in the Rockies?!  Thanks, it's great to see all that beautiful water flowing off the Chisos down into the desert.

Thanks, it was nice to see all that water. The desert is really green right now. The grasses are pretty too.

Sweet! The waterfall was bone dry the one time I made it out there.

Thanks so much for posting the pictures!  I've never seen Pine Canyon flowing, so it was really great to see your pics.

This is true!  It rained yesterday.  It's supposed to rain today.  It's an amazing place right now. Bring your mosquito repellant. The mosquitos are ravenous in the Canyon.

That is a gorgeous waterfall! Maybe one day we'll make it to that spot and have similar luck with the conditions. Thanks for sharing!
