Thanks, Homer.  I never thought I'd see water over that bridge.
Not surprised someone is pointing the finger at the aurotities managing the dams in Mexico;  I didn't think it'd this long.

The dams in Mexico, from what i heard these past nights on the news they were over their 100% capacity in Chihuahua from the Tropical Storm Lowell and hence all this water discharge, but they are too far away from me and before this hits us, it will drop on Lake Amistad which was until yesterday, from 48% up to 52% in capacity. So there is a long way to go before we start to worry.

This is only part of what's been coming through the park this week. These pics are at Las Virgenes dam in Ciudad Delicias, Chihuahua, Mexico on the Rio San Pedro - a tributary to the Rio Conchos. The Rio Conchos has a half dozen such dams, all of which are overflowing.

Good grief!  Most of the time not enough rain and now way too much.  Thanks for the updates and pictures.

So, I suppose the "water debt" between Mexico and the US has been "paid for" now?  Mexico used to be seriously in arrears.

I agree humor helps with the stress.  In fact when we returned home a few days ago you could see the water shimmering very beatifully and someone mentioned Presidio Lake.  So I chimed in perfect time to sell, Nice home located conviently 2 blocks from the shores of Presidio Lake.  We all laughed gratefull our home was there and undamaged but you know maybe ................... ................. Get it now at a bargain price before Presidio Lake resort property sky rockets. icon_wink

RIO REALLY GRANDE – The Rio Grande as it passes under the La Linda Bridge south of Marathon was almost to the bottom of the bridge last week. The river was swollen both by heavy rains upstream and a release of water from Leon Reservoir in Mexico above Presidio. Rawles Williams navigated his way under the bridge. Also on board were Aimee Robertson and Thomas Schiller
