If you can solve the problem of proper wastewater disposal, these are very nice:  I've used them before on BLM land with camp-suds and appropriate grey water management.

And only $140......

So if I bring my own water, which would be easy enough to do, collect the runoff, slightly harder and dispose of it properly.  It might be possibly somewhat legal.  The feds and there rules are killing me.  I think they need to install showers at all the main campgrounds.

Ya know, I can understand these rules.  icon_wink  Soapy nasty bath water on the ground will attract critters and bees, etc.  Someone would take a shower after breaking camp and the next person that rolled into the camp would find a muddy mess of soapy water - then people would start cleaning pots and pans and dishes and there would be coffee grounds everywhere, etc.   icon_wink

I still think just a simple shower setup would be A-Ok and could generate some additional revenue for NPS or Forever resorts.  It doesn't have to be in the basin per say, just down in a more central location like PJ.  Coin operated showers, limit water use by military showers, etc.  Heck, make it a luke warm shower at that.

Or, you could get a Starcraft pop-up camper like I have that has a toidy and a shower and also has black/gray water containment.

of course, another solution that I ofen do is to just take a shower on the way home and stop at one of the state parks.  Stillwells does have nice showers - just a little out of the way off the PG exit.  http://stillwellstore.com/

If you have a TPWD park pass, you don't have to pay admission and can just pop in/out of a shower on the way home.  A day admission ticket is not much $ either.  Stopped at Balmorhea one time for the showers - before I knew what Balmorhea was.  BTW - BBRSP has nice shower over at the ranch house.

For most of the days that I'm in BB, I use big adult wipes sold at Wally World or Walgreens. They are made for gentle cleaning of those who cannot take a bath or shower for whatever reason. I take a couple, add some water to them and scrub off the worst of the crud from the day. I do the private parts in the tent and put on clean clothes. For my head, which has very little hair, I dump some clean water on it and rub it around. If I'm really grungy, I have some no-rinse shampoo stuff that is okay. Doing this every day or two, depending on activity level, keeps me fairly fresh. Still, after something like the S Rim, I'm gonna want/need a real shower! Sooo...a trip to Indian Head at sundown, followed by a nice shower at BBMI is in the plans for next week.

Thanks for all of the responses!
