Description: I was fortunate enough to have met Blaine on one of my visits to the park a few years ago.  Since that time Blaine and I have had many discussions about the geology and history of the park and I can say that he has taught me a great deal, for which I am grateful.

On this trip Blain took my son and I into the Solitario where we learned  more about the old Paleozoics in the interior.  This included taking some great hikes to see the Coballos Novaculte, the Shutup Conglomerate, do some strike & dip on the Tesnus and crawl on some wonderful columnar-jointed volcanics.  Blaine is a valuable park resource and a fine individual.  I'm very glad to have met him.
