5 STARS!!!!
Mr. Foley is a great host, has a great property and for tent camping, you can't beat it!
We used it as a base camp and went riding the backroads and trails for a few days.
I left the day before the weather hit on the 30th, one day early :(

My only grip is that my camp site didn't have a fire ring but I was next too a "Communal" one, so I had to be nice to everyone. HAHA

I'm sure the first question my wife would ask is Do the showers have hot water?

The first question I have is, where is this place?

Using a relatively new feature of the internet called "search"  :icon_lol: I found this:

http://www.ranchotopanga.com/

Between Study Butte and Lajitas. Hot showers provided.

I haven't stayed there, but I've visited before and talked with Guy and Pat.  Very nice people and the place seemed really clean and well maintained.
Would be a good in-between spot for the NP and SP.  They're about 5 miles west of Terlingua on Hwy 170.

Your correct if your camping by yourself.  2 adults is $50.00 not including any kids over the age of 4.  Don't get me wrong it's a nice place just expensive if your camping with a family.

It seems pretty plain on the website that 2 people on the ridge is $25 and 2 in the valley is $10.

Now if you are telling me you have recent experience on site and the website is wrong...I'll go with that.

Regardless, ridge camping is pricey. The valley would be a better deal than the park sites plus you have showers included.

Smart ass.   :icon_biggrin:  I used a feature called "Google" and all I got was a whole series of hits about some place in California.

I was surprised Presidio didn't just randomly wander the internet until he happened across the web site.  :eusa_whistle:

Hey, I used Google also, but if you search for "rancho topanga" it pops right up. I knew there was a Topanga Canyon in Calfo. It was one of the places Charlie Manson frequented. Since Topanga as a place name is rather famous for Calfo, would be the first thing to pop using just "topanga" as it is far more well known than anything in Terlingua.
