i met phil around the fire at kosmic kathy's while having breakfast. the conversation and breakfast were both good . phil knows alot about little traveled parts of the parkand . i enjoyed his company. the burrito, potato, egg , cheese , was also very good .i highly recommend a stop at kosmic kowgirl . jim2

I second that recommendation! The Pancho Villa breakfast burrito is awesome! Great place to start your day.

Had breakfast there on my 2010 trip. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Good atmosphere (outside), good food and an interesting, engaging clientele.

I agree!  Kathy catered Sarah and I's wedding in the Basin.  Good stuff!

Kathy's Kosmic Kowgirl Kafe wasn't open while we were out there. Word is that Kathy is working at the Starlight and probably only opens up the Kafe when there's likely to be a lot of business (e.g. chili cookoff). :(

She was tending bar at the Starlight the one night I was there in late October.
