Just wanted to mention 2 things, La Casitas are individual cabins, not motel rooms so (hopefully) you will not hear the neighbors next door through the walls.

Also at some point they will finish the landscaping and install hummingbird feeders and the bird people are going to come catch the birds and band them.

I stayed here for 2 nights with my son last week. Everything was exceptional!  :eusa_clap:  Greg and Valynda really paid a lot of attention to detail and chose high quality fixtures, linens, appliances. Again, the service is wonderful. Whatever they can do for you, they will. They will be building 6 more in the near future!  :icon_biggrin: We had a wonderful experience there and I took advantage of the gas grill to make fajitas for dinner one night. All the comforts of home and it was great to have the dishes & cutlery available.
The bird feeders are up and a pleasure to watch from the back porch. The a/c and ceiling fan weren't a problem for us. I slept 10 hours the first night there, lol. Some folks were having a nice time in the common area one night and asked if they kept us up. We heard nothing....

I won't stay anywhere else for my future Big Bend visits!  :eusa_clap: Everybody loves photos, so here goes!

Thanks Muse for the update.  Looks like they are making these cabins very accommodating.  Your fajitas look yummy!  We will look forward to a full trip report forthcoming...

I wanted to add my agreement with everyone else that has stayed at Las Casitas - very, very pleasant.  I liked chilling on the back porch, rocking in the newly acquired STURDY rocking chairs, enjoying the shade and the breeze, watching the birds flock in to the feeders each morning and evening.  And the room was spacious, clean, new, and you could tell Greg and Valynda paid a lot of attention to the details.

Three thumbs up.

AWESOME place to stay.  We came in at the last minute and Valynda and Greg were so kind to accomodate us!!   This place is first class! We will definitely be back.
