The Basin is open, all is well... Figured I'd go check things out myself. Friggin windy though!

Traffic into the basin was closed for a few hours... heres a really bad picture of the fire...

Lighting strike I assume?  Looked pretty small, must not have been windy while they were fighting it.

It was really windy the night it started so it could have been caused by static on the power lines arcing to the ground, or lightening, I dunno... It pretty put itself out in the morning but they still had the fire crew up there, and a crew from the power company because the fire was right beside a power line pole.

Dennis, I was trying to figure out from the photo where that was along the Basin entrance road. Now that you mention it was near the power line, I am now thinking it was taken from inside the basin?

yeah, it was taken from the camp ground looking up to where the power line comes down into the  basin.
