Young man found dead inside Big Bend National Park
By Craig Hlavaty Published 8:47 am, Monday, February 12, 2018

Officials with Big Bend National Park on Sunday said in a release that a young man died inside the park sometime last week.

23-year-old Christopher Watkins died when his vehicle rolled several times inside the park in a one-car crash.

Park officials think the incident happened sometime between sundown on Friday, Feb. 9 and the early morning hours of Saturday, Feb. 10. Law enforcement is still working to determine the cause of the accident.

Watkins worked for Forever Resorts, a company doing business inside the park.

Sad. Way too soon for a life so young. Prayers for the family.

Regrets, grief, and prayers...
Leave "quit" at the car.  Embrace the trail as your friend.  Expect to enjoy yourself, and to be amazed.

Just a kid. Could just as easily have been mine. So very sad. Condolences to all those he left behind.

I wonder exactly where it occurred.
