Current Park Conditions:
Old Maverick Road, the road from Castolon to Santa Elena Canyon, and the Santa Elena Canyon trail are closed

Must have come down hard on that side of the park and flushed debris out of Alamo creek and/or Blue creek to close the Castolon to Santa Elena road, the river is certainly not high enough to do it.
temperatures exceed 100 degrees F
minimum 1 gallon water per person/day
no shade, no water

My weather radio flashed an amber alert a little while ago and then went into a long weather statement. Apparently there is a system spinning over the Big Bend area. Sure would be nice to be out there.

I saw on facebook  that Seminole Canyon State Park received 4 inches of rain over night. The total  previous amount for the year was less than 1 inch
