Great to see!  Flash what are your plans?

Camping in the Basin this week. Going to poke around some in the basin and the higher Chisos. Maybe the lower desert where it can be short and sweat. I have a long list. Got me a trekking umbrella I might need to try out...

My son and I arrived here about 2:30.  Big pool of standing water at the entrance to PJ. Observed some water in the washes during the drive in.

The Ranger at PJ said we should find water in the Chisos. The only admonition we received was to “watch out for bears”!

We’ll start out early in the morning and plan 3 nights in the Chisos. I’ll post a water report Friday evening.

Watched it rain on the East side of the Park and the Chisos for nearly four hours from my porch yesterday morning.  Incredible.

Looks like some good rain yesterday (.33" at PJ) and maybe for the next few days, maybe the park can keep up with the annual average.
