Some pictures of Government Canyon Spring, located behind the Zizelman House at Government Canyon SNA.  My son and I go hiking at Government Canyon about twice a month (the closest thing we can do to BIBE until we can get out there this year).  These pictures were taken in November; the spring was flowing quite good.

Reminds me of Lost Maples! I need to get out there and do some hiking...would help me prepare for my next BB trip.

Cool!  I've been wanting to see some more pictures of that place.  I must visit sometime.

BigBendHiker, great photos!

Government Canyon is such a jewel for San Antonio.

One can have a nice 1 hour stroll on flat ground, or a 15 mile hike over fairly challenging terrain (and never cover the same trail twice).

While I have not been there in a couple of months, for the longest time I was there just about every weekend to work up a good sweat and clear out my head.  And it is less than 1/2 hour from downtown San Antonio.

Last Spring, the flowers were out of this world, and seemed to last way past May.

Even without the flowers, its a place you have to check out!
