A buddy and I did an overnighter this past weekend.  Roughly about 12 miles with 1,500' of total ascent.  I packed 30 lbs, heavier than was necessary, just to see what kind of shape I was in.  It rode well and I'm getting there.  A few more weeks of continued stair-work, walking with a pack on, and I should be ready for my trip to the Bend the later part of April.

Having decent gear is nice, but wildlife photography is knowing your subject and getting lucky, and I love getting lucky.
