Lake of the Ozarks
« on: September 08, 2009, 11:38:38 PM »
Just got back from a weekend at Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri.  We went to visit family and participate in a washer tournament and had a blast.  A few pics...

My sons at Lake of the Ozarks

My 3 year old fishing

My 3 year old and I going to get swimming trunks on.

My 5 year old shows off one of the 7 fish he caught (5 perch, 2 rock bass)

Washer tournament action (note the well-used washer setup)

Bucket-o-gin passed around after the tournament

Sipping a shake at Caleb's Diner in Corsicana, Texas on the drive home.  If you have never stopped in Corsicana on the way to Dallas, it has many blocks of cobblestone street and a very cool downtown area.  This place has been open since 1905 and has the longest continuously run soda fountain in Texas.

Looks like a fun trip. I have to plead ignorance. What's a "washer tournament"?

Similar to horseshoes, but with washers.

Washers is THE game of choice at Aggie tailgates.  Dominoes is right up there though.

And sharts is when you are too drunk to make it to the bathroom!!  :rolling:
