Richard, thank you!  In some ways the Marble Falls Trail of Lights far outshines the Austin homogenized trail.  Here's a shot of Old Glory from 2005,

It's just me and my daughter hanging with family this weekend. This afternoon will be spent decorating my Mom's Christmas tree with my nephew, niece, and brother. Jennifer and I will head back to Houston tomorrow after church and maybe lunch, so it looks like we'll have to wait until some other time. I'll probably be in Austin between Xmas and New Year's so that'd be a good time for a Bender. :icon_wink:

yeah, cool.  we go out here every year also.  attach a stop at the bluebonnet for some icebox pie, and a worthy tradition is founded.

i only wish you could have included some photos of the trail. :icon_wink:

my wife doesn't allow us to go to the rail of lights in austin any longer.  for some reason she is less than impressed.

we also like the bethlehem thing in burnet.

Finally made it.  A few more lights out from earlier this year but Old Glory is still shining.

Happy New Year all!
