Red-shouldered hawks mating
« on: April 05, 2010, 10:19:48 AM »
Not really a trip report, the trip was my drive to work...I was taking a new route to work for the fun of it and spotted a Red-Shouldered hawk.  I stopped, grabbed my camera, and started stalking.  I saw a flutter of wings and started taking photos.  After a few shots I realized there were two hawks.  I glanced at my camera and realized I had just caught two hawks mating!  The photos are not that high quality as they were hand-held at 300mm, but what I captured was amazing, to me.

That is pretty neat.  Good reflexes to start taking pics even if you weren't exactly sure what you were taking pics of.  They are beautiful.
