Serpent Lake, NM
« on: September 20, 2009, 03:29:11 PM »
The boys and I took a three day weekend from the 11th-13th to backpack into Serpent Lake in the Pecos Wilderness. We had a great time, got to hear some elk bugling, experience a little fall weather and some good solitude. I've posted a few pictures, and as always, the details and more pictures are on the blog: www.griffisfamilyoutdoors.blogspot.com.

Great pics, more great memories for you and your kids.  I drove down Hwy 518 from Taos to Las Vegas, NM on my way back from that area a few weeks ago.  I saw quite a few trailheads right off the highway that looked like great places to explore.
