Sierra Blanca, NM - 11,973 feet - Summit Hike
« on: September 08, 2010, 04:59:18 PM »
Well the river starting flowing too high for my liking and so I aborted my Santa Elena Kayak Trip last weekend. At the last minute a friend and I decided to head over to Sierra Blanca Peak in New Mexico to do some backpacking and Summit the mountain. Here are some pics from the trip.

Nice pics, and it looks like you had some great weather while there!  They seem to get more than their share of nice weather.  Very seldom do I see cloudy skies on the local webcam:  http://ruidosowebcam.com/

Enjoyed the read. Last time I was up there was April about seven years ago. There was still snow and I was the first to sign the summit log for the year.
