Summer trip to Colorado
« on: September 16, 2011, 01:47:18 PM »
This summer El Homber (aka Lucky), our daughter Hiker and myself spent 25 days camping, fishing, and climbing in Colorado. The three of us climbed 6 fourteeners (mountains 14,000 ft. or more) and El Hombre had to add one more than us. I hope you enjoy the story and the pictures of the cool, crisp Colorado mountains. We even saw rain the first two weeks of the trip.

Very nice.  Some questions:

How many in your party?  Looks like 4 maybe?  How old are the kiddos?

Which mountains did you like the most/least?  Did you do Iron Nipple?

What program did you use to put together this TR?

Some answers  :icon_biggrin: :

3 all together, our daughter is 7 1/2

Favorite 14er would be Uncompahgre on this trip and out of all we've done (10 for me, 18 for El Hombre, 8 for Hiker)
Least favorite from this trip for me would be Mt. Princeton, mainly because of the never ending scree. It was still a good climb with an amazing view (as always)
El Hombre did not (and never will )have a least favorite 14er.
Yes, El Hombre HAD to climb the Iron Nipple  ;)
I used Coffee Cup software. Not bad overall, but I have some issues with the spacing when it uploads. I am going to switch to Dreamweaver soon.

PS thanks QS & Lance! Can't wait for yours in a few weeks. Hopefully it won't take as long as I did!!

I really enjoy reading about your family adventures Cookie.  I'm still in awe of Steelfrog's list, but you've had a pretty active one too!
