The links you suggested are really good Darin and I've got them bookmarked for help with my next trip.  Mule Ears I appreciate your offer too and am sure your advise/experience will be very helpful.  I don't normally buy many magazines, but the May issue of Backpacker has a couple articles and routes for Grand Canyon that are appealing.

Thank you everyone for your kind remarks.

One thing I have learned from reading other trip reports is that you must take into account the writers' expertise level. Some folks less afraid of exposure would say the Tanner Trail isn't all that exposed. To me, there were plenty of pucker moments along the trail. :)

Ray - A forum site you might be interested in checking periodically is:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Grand_Canyon_Hikers/

There are quite a few people that frequent that site and know a great deal about the trails in the canyon and can be a wealth of info. My only problem with that site is the absolutely lousy layout and inability to edit ones' posts after submitting. It's easy to get spoiled with a easy-to-use site like bigbendchat.com.

Admin Note: Yeah, but I bet they don't have a problem with these stupid Doomsday Tags :icon_rolleyes:
