Homero, I declare you the winner. The photo was taken in Viet Nam , about 100 km south of Ho Chi Minh City. The town is called Vung Tau and means "anchorage" in Vietnamese

You're UP!

Here is another from the same trip

Padowan..patience!...i have managed to post a thought or two,but i have not forgotten about my commitment. I am trying to search for a before the digital era age picture for this thread. Many of my fotos were taken in that time..any how, quoting another similar mind to this board.....

No problem, I'll see if I can find a shot to open this thread up a bit.

Nice call bdann.   :eusa_clap:

My wife and I spent 9 days going around South Africa in August.  Kruger was amazing.  The amount of wildlife was insane!

The name on the tour bus in the right hand side of the photo led me to South Africa, the filename on the photo "dscn2988capitolbuilding.jpg" gave me the name of the city.  A Google image search of "pretoria capitol building" verified that this building is in Pretoria, South Africa, known as the Union Buildings.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Union_Buildings

Al's was easier, I've been to Hyde Park many times.  :icon_biggrin:

Nice detective work!  I started to change the photo's title, but decided to leave it as a clue.  Didn't think about our tour bus though.

Well, while we are waiting for Homero to find his “Where?” photo ( :eusa_whistle:) or bdann to come up
with a stumper for us. I think I’ll take this opening to complete my dangling posts from back on page [7]
One & Two

The clue in the second post was from Jeff Blaylock’s blog; Because the lines were long, and time was short, Jeff didn’t go up into the Arch.

Here are some more:

Well, while we are waiting for Homero to find his “Where?” photo ( :eusa_whistle:)

Ok ok,so i took longer than i was suposed to,but still i am good with my word, people. So here it is,first of two.

First clue: It is not in Big Bend, definitly. Maybe in a short short while will be in the International Park area.. :crossedfingers: This place puts the Hot Springs in kindergarden, very warm water flowing right out of the rock. If you have the right stuff, you can make a pool out of yeast bags and take probably the best bath in all developed camping grounds in the park.. :icon_lol:

Different place,Second clue: An amzing place to be there, really makes you appreciate how Geologically unique the EL Carmen-Big Bend area really is and it's rock formations. This is my very good friend Lacho Falcon pointing to a "Geo" place, as locals call it.

Do cry "uncle", if you need some help..... :icon_lol: :icon_lol:

Stay thirsty, my friends.
