BACKPACKING DAY 9: CRAMER DIVIDE TO ALPINE LAKE

This was the day "backpacking fatigue" set in, and hordes of flies too.

BACKPACKING DAY 10: ALPINE LAKE TO BARON CREEK

Unsure if I could finish the route as planned, I faced an immediate 900 foot gain, then a 3,600 foot loss.

I should. Since I've entered the digital age, I've hardly printed a single photo.  icon_cry

The backpacking portion of the trip ended anticlimactically with a short hike down from the confluence of Baron Creek and its north fork to Grandjean. A few photos:

Overall, I stayed in 17 campsites over 18 nights -- the only repeat was the North Rim of the Grand Canyon -- covering six states.

Highlights:

Glen Canyon

Between Vernon and Edna Lakes in the Sawtooths

Imogene Lake in the Sawtooths

Alpine Lake in the Sawtooths

North Rim Campground in Grand Canyon NP
