Spent the night last night in Seminole and spent today at Meyer's Spring north of Dryden. Headed to BIBE in the morning....

It's hot...

Although Meyer's Spring has 5,000 year old pictos, it was occupied during historic times. There are indeed pictures of crosses and a Spanish bishop(?) It is believed that the pictos of Indians on horseback are the first ever painted in the US. Most of the really old stuff has been over painted by the historic era (post 1500's). The Seminole scouts were also stationed here at what was called Camp Meyers.

Alan,
Pretty much all of the trips are on private land.
The Rock Art Foundation has multiple trips per year. Some are open to non-members, but most are members only. The annual membership is $35( I think?), and each tour has a fee as well- usually $35. If you get on the mailing list, they will send you notification of upcoming events. You can also look at the calendar on their web page.
