Deleted Image Recovery

DO NOT use the card again, but if you have formatted it, you may still be able to recover some or all of the images

Try Zero Assumption Recovery

http://www.z-a-recovery.com/demo-ir.htm

Works very well and is free for digital image recovery
Haven't had the need to use it (knock on wood), but it looks like a pretty useful program.

As a mentioned in my trip report thread, the Zero Assumption Recovery program did all I could ask, more than I expected. After re-formatting a card TWICE, I recovered the pictures I hadn't actually written over. Not difficult to use either.
I'm a believer!
