I do appreciate what you are saying TJ.  In my case, I was using two GND filters (stacked) in order to try to get nice details in the foreground.  Now, the GND filters are not supposed to alter color, but this is the color that showed up on my RAW image (I can send you the RAW image if you can help me figure out how to 'undo' the deep red).  I thought perhaps the GND filter allowed for more saturation.  I am using Cokin P-Series filters.  If there is a better one, please let me know.  I don't intentionally alter color.  In fact, until I saw ET's, I didn't realize there was that much difference.

Sorry... I've been out of town. I posted that and then took off for 4 days! :icon_lol:

Wow... I wouldn't have guessed you used filters like that. I had a Tiffen polarizer once that had a pretty nasty color cast :icon_lol:

I've read and also got first-hand recommendations for Singh Ray neutral density filters (solid or grad.). They're supposed to have the best neutral (no color cast) effect out of all the rectangular filters (e.g. P or Z sized) available.

I have a B+W solid ND screw-on (round) filter that is fairly neutral. But I don't think they make rectangular filters.

Getting rid of the color cast will be tough. You have ET's photo that you could use as a guide. My advice would be to mess around with the white balance and also try lowering the saturation a little.
best regards,
TJ Avery

Yeah, I had a feeling about these filters.  They didn't seem expensive enough to be high quality.  Some of the ones I have been looking at are over $200.  I will check out the Singh Ray ones.  Thanks for the tip!  I was planning a filter set upgrade anyway because the P filters aren't large enough at 24mm on my full frame 5DM2, and I end up having to crop the left and right edges off (grrrr).

I will work on the image next week to see what I can do about it.  It's kinda weird that it is the only one that I have sold, and only because the red goes with their living room, HAHAHA.  So I won't toss it out, but I definitely want to try and see what I can do to correct it.
