Excellent use of that new camera. It's a real joy when shots turn out that good.

Tends to turn one into a real nuisance.  Oh no!  Here comes Randall. Run! He has his camera!!!

Yeap !!..that's a mighty dandy place all right. I have seen J. Roy Bean's grave yard, at the Whitehead Museum in Del Rio, but I need to check this out with my family soon.

One question, when you Push that RED button for information: Did it give you information or zapped the living daylights out of you?

Langtry, TX (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=langtry,+tx&ie=UTF8&ll=29.808923,-101.562231&spn=0.22521,0.33989&z=11&om=0)

Good place to stop if you're taking Hwy 90 to the park.  It's a "must see at least once" for all Texans.  Not a whole lot else to see in Langtry, but it's just down the road from Seminole Canyon State Park (http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/spdest/findadest/parks/seminole_canyon/).

I think it released water from the Amistad Reservoir, but I'm not completely sure.

I actually liked the place better before they renovated it 8-9 years ago;  gravel instead of concrete made it seem more "real" to me, interior of the saloon looked like there'd been one helluva a party that noone cleaned up.  There was a HUGE saguaro just behind the vistors center, hope they didn't kill it when they moved it.  Best part about the renovation is the "Opera House",  it used to be an overgrown pile of junk.

When you visit the Pecos River overlook, be sure to drive down to the boat ramp. That's how the old hiway used to cross the Pecos. It gives a great water level view of the bridge and the canyon walls.
