The rock art of the Lower Pecos is truly world class.  I had the privilege of studying under Dr. Boyd and Dr. Dering at Sul Ross, where they briefly taught. 

I also had the privilege of volunteering at the Shumla School and was rewarded with the opportunity to observe and work with Dr. Dering. 

I think the Rock Art Foundation (http://www.rockart.org/) does weekly tours of White Shaman Shelter and other sites on occasion.  If you have the chance, it would be a great way to break up a trip to BIBE.
