Bear Hit by Car West of Alpine

I received this email, this was all it said with the pictures.  I feel sorry for the Bear, We don't have too many in Texas, hate to lose any :icon_cry: :icon_cry:

Over this past Father’s Day weekend, a family driving to Marfa from Alpine hand an unusual encounter.

Their vehicle hit this Black Bear a few miles west of Alpine.

He weighed approximately 444 pounds.

The people in the car were not injured and were able to drive the car back to town.

That really succks.  I'm in alpine right now and my contact here, pretty ateong source,said it was in the morning and out by the marfa viewing lights area.  How could you possibly not miss that?!
