Glad I didn't drive all the way out there to find out it was canceled.  But, I'm sure I'd have found something to entertain me - namely Balmorhea...

This is bound to be a HUGE BLOW to the economy of Fort Davis.  Lots of tourist dollars involved in something like this...

Dear festival registrants and all interested naturalists,

Sadly, we must announce the cancellation of the 11th Annual Davis Mountains Hummingbird & Nature Festival.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, one of our primary venues has become unavailable. We feel strongly that each aspect is an integral part of the whole experience and therefore, regrettably, have no choice but to cancel this year’s festival.

All registration fees will be refunded in full. For those registrations already processed, refunds will be mailed shortly. Unprocessed registrations will be returned as is.

I've really enjoyed my visits to the CDRI but their website needs some serious updating and content refreshment.  FWIW, IMO.
