Any of the locals out that why know what happened to the Border Hot Line and Linda Bailey Potter?  I've been trying to reach her for several weeks, no bueno.  The website also has not been updated in a very long time.  Afraid it might have gone the way of the "Desert Mountain Times".  http://www.dmtimes.net/

To BHOT readers:
Linda Bailey Potter 30.JUL.07
AUSTIN – It’s taken us almost two months to get situated here in Austin establishing the new Border Hotline News headquarters. The move is an important step in expanding the coverage of U.S./Mexico border news for BHOT readers. The new location will give us the ability to stay in the middle of border issues here in Austin’s dynamic political climate.

This is also a great opportunity to inform readers, not only those who live on the bend of the Rio Grande but also for those who live here in central Texas, about news, culture and lifeways in the high mountains of the Chihuahuan Desert. We ask that you be patient as we get reorganized. We will try to get daily news posted online as time permits.

BHOT’s weekly Sunday print edition has been put aside for now, but not forgotten. We know that many of you have been big supporters and have enjoyed it since last November. We are hoping for its return in the near future.

Your e-mails and phone calls supporting the continuation of BHOT News have been greatly appreciated. Please contact editor@borderhotline.com if you have any questions.
