I don't think there are any "Gila Monsters" in the Terlingua Area are there?  I think the nearest one is in New Mexico or Arizona isn't it?  Interesting story but I think I will keep my indoor plumbing for the time being.  I am just not ready to make the jump to an outhouse just yet.. TWWG

If I had a choice of running water in my sink(s) and shower(s) or a flushing toilet, it's a no brainer. Where's the lime!

Gila monsters?  Not in Terlingua.  The author being from Ohio, maybe she didn't realize she was looking at a bowl of real chili.
