West Texas is Under Attack

Seems like all of West Texas is under attack.  I wonder what it will be like in 100 years, heck 5 years?
border wall, La Entranda, Christmas Mountains, rail roads, Big Bend Ranch, and now Fort Davis...

Opposition mounts to Fort Davis threat

It will look like the area between Boerne and Bandera. I cry everytime I go this way to Garner and see how much more of the land is being taken by huge homes and shopping centers.

That stretch gets me every time too...so cut up into little pieces...and all de-cedared.

Some cedar removal is fine and is probably beneficial, but complete removal can be pretty harmful, depending on where it's done.

No, thankfully it won't.  The main deterrance being the extra 5 hours of drive time from Austin and SA.  The remoteness that we all curse when buying 2 tanks of gas on the way out there is what keeps it the way it is.  Things are changing somewhat, but it's happening very slowly really (and thankfully).
