OK...this is the rundown, for the upcoming trip:

 There are three 4x4 clubs that are going on June/22nd and returning on June /23d,  to the following places:
* Acu?a & Piedras Ngras 4x4 is going to Santa Eulalia, then Ejido Carranza to meet there with Sabinas 4x4.
* Once we meet, we head on to a ranch where Jaime has access to,  settle in. It will be hot, being there and all.
* Afterwards, we plan on going to the La Linda Bridge ( My first time there...finally) and The Cuatro Palmas mine to explore around, take some pictures there, then probably head on to the La Encantada Tunnel.
* Last, we would very likely go to La Cuesta de Malena for some awsomwe sight seeing, and finally.
* Head home thru Muzquiz , Nueva Rosita, Allende, Piedras Negras and home.

 This is scheduled to be done with 3 4x4 clubs and we are extending the invitation to you , if you are intertested.

  What you will need , is to have  a very good 4x4 vehicle..tested to see if it can widstand some hard knocks. Don?t even consider coming , if you have doughts about your rig: It will fail you there...guaranteed.

  You have to bring your own food, water, camping gear, spare parts, and a good GPS ( which i currently, don?t have ).

  Bring a lot of memory cards, for you are going to get a chance to see , the best views the whole transmega corridor can mustard. And get ready for some awsome trailing time.

 The point to meet, for us who live in the border, will be Cd. Acu?a , early in the morning and then head on together with who ever is formed on the trail line.

 There will be trail bosses , trail hearders and trail sweepers, to make sure everyone is together and doesn?t get lost.

 So  there it is..interested?. just post here  and will take care of the rest.

  Jaime, Jose atm and me are organizing this trip.

 There could be a very slim chance that i might stmble with BBH, and i will be very sorry i missed the Muse at the park...would have been awsome to shake her hand , at the river. :cry:

 Regards
Stay thirsty, my friends.

 Fancier words, could not be said any better. Hope you can make it.

 Muse, i know there will be more opportunities.

 I am so eager to go, now that my truck is almost 100% percent ready to rock & roll.

 What I installed and still am not comfortable with, there is more i can do to it:
* Both differentials, are revamped
* Warn 4x4 locking hubs, brand new
* An added lower gear to my Borg Warner 4076 transfercase
* BFG 35" Mud terrains
* Performance bronze dual friction clutch
* Differential rock protectors , for back and front
* Banks Power Upgrade kit for my new diesel engine
*4" exhaust pipe to clear those fumes away
* Hardened seel reinforced U-joints
* 5 speed NV3500 tranny

 The only thing i am not going to be able to install is my new Warn 16500 lbs. winch....I need to make a new front bumper... :cry:  :cry:

 Aside from that, i should be ready to overcome what ever the desert sends my way.
Stay thirsty, my friends.

Well folks, since our trip date is coming very near now. There is the next question to adress: How will the weather be if we were going to camp in La Linda ?.

   There was this rumor going on that the bridge was blown up by the USCG , i killed that rumor by showing the different clubs information and pictures from this webpage. Now, i am the expert: yeah, right !!!. :lol:

   Well the item to vent out is the weather: Would anybody know if it has been very hot in the area lately?. The plan is to Drive from Acu?a up to La Linda , via Ejido Santa Eulalia then Ejido Carranza meet there, then go on to la Linda, stay for the night there. Early in the morning see if we can brave a trip to Boquillas del Carmen , ( which i don?t want to do because it is so far out of the way) then go on to Cuesta de Malena, El Tunel maybe see a little bit of Valle Colombia...that is really nice, then come back home in the afternoon.

  Maybe the local folks could step in and have a say on the weather locallly ?.

Regards

Homero Jimenez

If it's anything like Rio Grande Village, expect it to be hot.  However, it seems to be getting cooler lately.  The temperature has even dropped as low as 76.  At midnight it was still above 80, however.

according to the weather station, 107 at 10:50am this morning, RGV.  wind speed = 0mph.  ick.
seems like that almost has to be a mistake, with several more heating hours left in the day!
WATER, It does a body good.
