Sorry to hear of all the suffering. Glad your family is OK.

Didn't realize there was so much flooding.

Keep the faith.

Yes, i will.....and again thank you all.

As a Father of three, one can not let go of the fact that all these 7 good men (one of them was the son of my friend Willie) had families and right now they must be feeling desperate, frustrated and very hurt, Yesterday was a unique day in the whole State because there were funeral services held in Saltillo (The state capital), Sabinas and in Piedras Negras where they resided. It was a very sad and long day, we all still had to go to work and continue our lives but i tell you, no one was smiling or keeping a straight face. Everybody was looking down and keeping to themselves.

There are some proposals sent to the Governor that we should give these men a status of heroes because they died protecting our community from more flooding. This is something that will be looked at with a lot of detail.

You could cut the sadness in the air with a knife, i do not think we are going to forget this past day so easily.. :icon_cry:

A friend of mine from Sabinas called two days a go, this is a man who helped me out in 2004 when i lost all of my workplace to the floods in Piedras Negras. He said he had lost everything in his house. He, ashamed, asked for some clothing for himself and i am sure he has many needs but is bashfull in asking for help. I know exactly his feelings, being a man that provided for himself and his family and then you can not even have a pair of trousers for yourself...i know the feeling, first hand. Well he will be taken care off today. I have everything set up for him to receive loads of clothing and canned food. He works in a supermarket BTW.

I will ask him what the community needs, and i just found out there is a way for donations to come in to Eagle Pass thru a local church there, where they can cross it over (you can not bring personal donations yourselves), then take them over to Sabinas.

To have a better idea of the damage, here is a video of Sabinas 95% flooded after the storm.

Yes i did,QS.

Please understand that i have had the time to help you out as we had discussed. What i see now is that RichardM found your account and is already doing , what i was going to teach how to. Posting your pictures is easier than you think. Just give me the rest of the day, while i go and gather the rest of the donated clothing i am sending out to Sabinas. I should pick this up, during this weekend and will help you in every way to share your great pics with us.

Saludos

Homero

Homer,

I heard of the plane crash on the news and thought of you. Had no idea you actually lost friends. We are praying for you and your community.

Yes, thank you fellas...my town has had this somber feeling all day long. Even President Felipe Calderon flew here by chopper today and he said he felt the same ambiance all around, he knew tragedy had struck the town. :icon_frown:
