Title: 4 days in BB... 2 days on the river, 1 long hike, few short hikes?
Post by: seb75013 on February 14, 2010, 10:06:58 PM
Hey there!
I will be in BB starting THU morning with a 2 day river trip to Santa Elena Canyon. I was hoping to have a long hike on SAT and a bunch of shorter hikes while driving on the scenic loop on Sunday...
What would be your suggestions?
South Rim (at least the open sections) for the longer hike?
What about short hikes? Should I plan on driving in the park for a whole day and just take it easy with few side hikes?
Any advice welcome!
thanks!!!

there are some great short hikes off the ross maxwell scenic drive. ward spring, cat tail falls, upper burro mesa pour off, blue creek up to the red rock section. climb the western side of the dodson to the saddle for a great view.
