Me and the missus are headed to BB the week of the 22nd. Never been there in October and was wondering what the people/acre (crowds) might be. We're also planning on staying at the lodge maybe a couple of nights while we're there - ya think I need to make reservations - we're trying to be spontaneous and take it as it comes if ya know what I mean - we'll be camping as well. Planned Hikes:Top O Casa Grande!Pine Canyon FallsCattail FallsEmory PeakI'll have my 4 wheel drive truck this time, so I'm also planning on driving some of the back roads if conditions allow it.Can't wait to go - it's been 4 long years since we were last there!
You may want to add the following hikes to your plan, if time permits:Grapevine HillsBurro Mesa PouroffLost Mine (at least to the saddle that lets you see the SE rim and Elephant Tusk.)Chimneys TrailHave a great time and be sure to post your trip report and pictures!!
i'm going with my parents in tow the 24th-27th
i will look for you, though i can't promise i'll be up early. gotta enjoy those hot springs while i have them thats the day we will be doing our driving, else i might run into you on the trail. i'm not sure if my dad will go for it, but i wanna take him up emory peak. which way will you be getting to the rim? laguna or pinnacles?**imbibing alcoholic beverages in the hot springs is against park rules, and does not take place
